During a meeting of the U-M Student Nurses Association her first semester on campus, Zick joined the bone marrow donor registry through Be The Match, the National Marrow Donor Program. “It can't hurt to sign up,” Zick thought. “They sent a cheek swab to my dorm, I sent it back and then didn’t think much about it.”

I received many emails and shared thoughts about the events of yesterday’s social media threat against women at U-M. It was a frightening set of circumstances and caused anxiety and fear for most. Some of you are still feeling uneasy.
So I want to emphasize again that we are fully in the clear from this threat. All activities are continued as scheduled.

This fall, after two years of exhaustive planning and preparation, the U-M School of Nursing welcomed its first cohort of students in the new Master of Science in Nursing programs in the Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner (PCFNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), and Leadership, Analytics and Innovation (LAI) specialties.
