Supporting Our Innovators
Here are some examples of how we’re working with and supporting our Innovators.
Creation of an On-Demand Fulfillment System
Innovation: An interventional tool, the ABCs of Prescription Drug Management, was created as a patient educational tool on the proper use/storage/disposal of controlled medications, including opioids.
How We Helped:
- Facilitated rework of graphics for broader PCP use to adults and adolescents.
- Performed competitive analyses to lend guidance to pricing of pamphlets.
- Co-created a fulfillment system where medical providers can go online and order these educational pamphlets, pay with a credit card/internal shortcode, and have them shipped directly to their offices.
- Working with Team to promote intervention to key target audiences.
Competitive & Pricing Analysis to Help Package Training
for Sale by Licensee
Innovation: Survivor Moms' Companion is a psychoeducational program designed to help women with a history of childhood maltreatment and other trauma break the cycles of abuse and psychiatric vulnerability in their lives and the lives of the newly born.
How We Helped:
- Conducted a competitive analysis to identify what other training programs were offering and at what price.
- Compiled a direct mail list of key organizations for promotion of SMC to once ready.
- Support Innovator in the inaugural training launch.
- Secured publicity for training through internal U-M School of Nursing channels (digital, print, Panacea, etc.).
Facilitated Collaborative Resource Connections
Innovation: This innovation is a nursing/legal collaborative which provides content related to interacting with and identifying survivors of human trafficking within healthcare and social service settings within a legal/policy perspective. It has resulted in a compilation of content which now needs developed into a website, inclusive of an e-learning module that can provide CE’s.
How We Helped:
- Identified Instructional Designer resources on campus.
- Connected Innovators to School of Public Health Instructional Designer which has resulted in a new collaboration with them on this e-learning module.
- Prepared RFQ’s and solicited bids for website development and video services needed to get this website built and launched.
- Participating with Team in meetings with developers and videographiers.
