Rushika Patel, Ph.D., M.Ed.

Biography

Dr. Rushika Patel proudly serves Michigan Nursing as the Assistant Dean for Strategic Education.  Her work primarily focuses on leveraging data and conducting evaluation to inform innovative and adaptive strategies in the School’s multiple contexts of teaching and learning. She is dedicated to fostering an environment where students and faculty alike can thrive and excel in their educational and professional goals.

Her academic journey includes earning a PhD in Educational Policy Studies and Organizational Leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a concentration in global studies in education, a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a concentration social justice, a Professional Certificate in Linguistics from the University of North Texas, a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology and English from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and a Secondary Teaching Certification in English Language Studies. Dr. Patel is also a Certified Professional Coach and has served in teaching, consultation, and leadership positions with educational organizations across the United States and Asia.
