Dr. Miller has a broad background in health services research, including substantial experience using claims data and formal training in the advanced statistical methods used in observational data analyses. With prior funding from the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality and the National Cancer Institute, Dr. Miller's empirical research agenda focused on comparative effectiveness research, physician-led collaborative quality improvement, and understanding the relationship between physician organizations, integrated delivery systems, and the quality and cost of specialty care.
Dr. Miller's research, which has been funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the National Cancer Institute, and The American Cancer Society, seeks to better understand how the health care delivery system influences quality and access to care for patients with urological cancers.
