Dr. Ashley Thibodeau is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Her areas of expertise in nursing have been centered around children with complex medical conditions. Dr. Thibodeau has worked as a nurse and nurse practitioner in inpatient and outpatient oncology and neurology settings. She has focused on increasing access to care for families in both primary care and specialty care through quality improvement projects. Establishing rapport with patient care and education Dr. Thibodeau enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams. She is working to expand these care models for patients and families with neurological conditions in her current practice. Using principles of palliative care and shared-decision making, Dr. Thibodeau continues to build relationships with families caring for children with complex medical conditions.
Teaching
Dr. Thibodeau is clinical faculty for the undergraduate program participating in pediatric didactic and clinical course instruction. Dr. Thibodeau is also interested in promoting alternative clinical rotations, such as community clinics, and mentoring students as they explore career and volunteer opportunities.
