The Interprofessional Education Motivational Interviewing (IPE-MI) workgroup, which consists of faculty across the health sciences, is holding a two-part series of interprofessional Motivational Interviewing workshops. Students should be enrolled in a University of Michigan Health Science Program (Dentistry, Kinesiology, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Social Work, U-M Flint College of Health Sciences and School of Nursing, U-M Dearborn Ed, Health, and Human Services). They are looking for students with a basic level of knowledge and experience in Motivational Interviewing to participate in these workshops.

1. Students will learn about, from, and with each other in the context of Motivational Interviewing to improve health outcomes for patients and populations.
2. Students will work with individuals of other professions to maintain a climate of mutual respect and shared values.
3. Use the knowledge of one's own role and those of other professions to appropriately assess and address the healthcare needs of patients via simulated interactions.
4. Communicate with patients, families, communities, and professionals in health and other fields that supports a team approach to the promotion and maintenance of health and the prevention and treatment of disease.

If you are interested in participating in this interprofessional Motivational Interviewing workshop series, please complete information in this brief 5-minute survey. The organizers will contact those who are interested to inform them if they were selected to be one of the students to participate from their respective school. This will ensure we have an equal distribution of students participating from each discipline. The deadline to complete the survey above is November 30, 2018. Students will be notified if they were selected to participate in the workshop by December 11, 2018.
