Rebecca McDonald presents at this conference is designed for nursing staff, educators, preceptors, managers, administrators, and others involved in healthcare.
 
After participating in this conference, participants will be able to: have an introduction to Human Trafficking with exposure to more learning opportunities and a recommended reading list; know basic definition of Human Trafficking and understand the difference to prostitution both legally and practically; identify some of the 21 lures or 15 environmental demographics; understand real life scenarios; identify 3 sets of players in trafficking scenario in health care environment; have an introduction to Appropriate Assistance Plan, bringing hoped for changes in future patient and community health status.
 
Rebecca McDonald, founder and president of Women At Risk, International (WAR) has spent three decades lifting women and children to lives of dignity and worth. As an organization, WAR exists to create circles of protection and hope around at-risk women and children through culturally sensitive, value-added intervention projects. WAR currently addresses 14 different risk issues and works in over 40 countries, including the United States. Although WAR primarily functions as an aftercare organization, it is also heavily involved in advocacy.
