From Ctools to Canvas

As U-M transitions from Ctools to Canvas, the new learning management system, School of Nursing IT will host the following training sessions to help our faculty and staff to get familiar with Canvas. Please register for the session(s) that you would like to attend so the Canvas work-site(s) will be prepared for you.

From Ctools to Canvas: (Tuesday, July 21, 2015, 12-1pm)
This is to provide an introduction of Canvas for faculty/staff who are considering to switch from Ctools to Canvas in Fall 2015. We will go through the overview of Canvas, the similarity and differences between Ctools and Canvas, course navigation, enhance features of Canvas, and how to get ready for course content migration

From Ctools to Canvas: (Monday, July 27, 2015, 12-1pm)
This is to provide an introduction of Canvas for faculty/staff who are considering to switch from Ctools to Canvas in Fall 2015. We will go through the overview of Canvas, the similarity and differences between Ctools and Canvas, course navigation, enhance features of Canvas, and how to get ready for course content migration.

Canvas course setup: (Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 10-11am)
This is a hands-on workshop to learn how to setup a basic course in Canvas. We will go through course setup basics and create a course.

Canvas Assignments, Quizzes and Grades: (Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 11am-12pm)
This is a hands-on workshop to explore the how-to of Canvas Assignments, Quizzes and Grades. You will have the opportunity to create Assignments and Quizzes during the workshop, and also experience the powerful SpeedGrader feature.

Additional training sessions will be offered throughout the summer.
