Blavins Scholars Donation Drive

Blavin Scholars provides students who have experienced time in foster care with support during their college experience at the University of Michigan. Donations are used to purchase holiday gifts for students who would not otherwise receive holiday gifts. Donations in any amount are appreciated

Trauma and Burnout:  Caring for the Nurses
Wednesday, October 20, 2021 - 4-5:00 p.m.
Virtual conference on Zoom
Nurses are exposed to many potentially traumatic experiences at work, leading to burnout and posttraumatic stress symptoms. Self-care may not be enough to manage these concerns. The session will explore tools to self-assess for burnout, compassion fatigue, and posttraumatic stress symptoms and discuss treatment options. 1.0 contact hours provided.

STTI Leadership Connection Conference: Influencing Change through Leadership

  • This event combines chapter and nursing leadership topics. Chapter leaders learn the skills necessary to operate well-functioning and vital chapters, while the other half of the program is devoted to a variety of topics relevant to today’s nursing workforce.

Research and Special Projects Grants
  • Applications due January 15, 2015
  • Do you need support for your research or scholarly projects? Rho Chapter provides grants to support research and special projects such as patient education programs, media projects, etc. Masters and doctoral students, faculty, and community members who are Sigma Theta Tau members are eligible.
Taking The Lead 2015: Leading in Turbulent Times (co-sponsored by Rho Chapter)
  • January 15. 2015; 7:00 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • The conference participants will explore strategies for successful leadership during turbulent times, identify resources that enable nurses to develop leadership skills, and describe how the current healthcare environment impacts nurses and their practice. Featured speaker is: Michael R. Bleich, PhD, RN, FAAN, FNAP, who has served on technical and advisory committees for HRSA, the Governance and Picker Institutes, AHA/AONE, and the IOM.
