Description

Two students will present on joining a professional organization and integrating relivious values into patient care.

Abigail Manning presents on: Join a professional organization
Frequently being told to join a professional organization? Don't know which one to choose? Join Student Nurses Association! You can be involved locally at our school and you can participate in state and nation wide events! I will be presenting on my experience at the National Student Nurses Association conference in Kansas City and how this organization can help you grow professionally, provide you with networking opportunities, and teach you about all the opportunities available in nursing!

Meredith VanEssen presents on: Integrating religious values into patient care
Do you ever wonder about other people's religions? Where they come from, what is important to them, what makes them unique? Over the past semester, I have had the chance to research several different religions, while also integrating my own perspectives from mine. I will be presenting on the various educational materials I have created including handout brochures, summaries of papers where I have connected an aspect of patient care to my foundation within my religion, and a simulated video on effectively interviewing a patient on their own personal preferences in connection to their health care.
