Historical Reflection: Building the Medical Centers Hospitals and Related Campus Buildings
Frederick W. Mayer, a former University Planner at the University of Michigan from 1968-2003, has written numerous articles and lectured extensively on the subject of college and university planning. He is the author of A Setting for Excellence: The Story of the Planning and Development of the Ann Arbor Campus of the University of Michigan, foreword by James J. Duderstadt (Ann Arbor: University of Michigan Press, 2015). Currently he is working on a book about the development of the Medical Center.
Janet Tarolli will lead a discussion following Mr. Mayer's presentation on the history of nursing residences at the University of Michigan.
