Pharmacotherapeutics II --- Second in course in the series. The course focuses on core knowledge needed to understand the therapeutic use of drugs and develop appropriate, evidence-based treatment regimens across the lifespan. Basic principles of pharmacology, such a mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, of major drug classes will be discussed in relation to physiology and pathophysiology; current research data and evidence-based treatment guidelines will be reviewed. Exemplars and case studies will be used for clinical application.
