Informatics Immersion

The immersion provides the student with opportunities to develop the diverse skills of informatics-empowered practitioners via an apprenticeship model. Students are expected to apply the knowledge and skills learned throughout the informatics curriculum in order to support the interconnected needs of individuals, institutions, and populations across the continuum. The practicum is designed to focus on post-graduate career goals and builds on the student's interests, experiences, and personal attributes. This is an experiential course with students spending approximately 10-12 hours per week in a physical practicum site accessible to the student.
