Description
The University Of Michigan School of Nursing Hillman Scholars Program is proud to co-sponsor the first seminar in the “What in the World” (WITW) series. The WITW sessions are an avenue to dialog and disseminate to the broader research community the work being conducted in the Patient Centered Technology Core of VA-CCMR, the Center for Managing Chronic Disease in the School of Public Health and Michigan Center for Diabetes Translational Research. This ongoing series of monthly sessions are faculty, staff, and trainee-friendly, fun and interactive, and focus on methods and substantive issues at least as much as the results of specific studies.

"WITW are we doing with mobile health and chronic pain?" Dr. John Piette, professor at U-M's School of Public Health, will give a general background on pain and cognitive behavioral therapies, and then present the results of the COPES comparative effectiveness trial. Lunch will be provided.
