CAsCAid logoUMSN Faculty in the CAsCAid research group are looking for a group of 4-5 undergraduate and graduate students within the School of Nursing interested in advancing nursing science to participate in our Student Advisory Board. The members of our advisory board will be partners and stakeholders in developing a trauma-informed education process from the ground floor. We are looking for dedicated, committed, passionate, high-performing students interested in becoming a part of the CAsCAid study group. We are also looking for students able to commit to a minimum of a 1-year term on the Student Advisory Board.
 
Those selected to be on the board will:
  • complete a required on-boarding process
  • attend required training sessions
  • attend CAsCAid group meeting(s) – 1st Thursday of the month between 11am-1pm
  • attend UMSN CAsCAid speaker series
  • assist with a literature review of best practices for working with high-ACE youth
  • assist with the development, planning, and implementation of faculty interviews to assess best clinical practices
  • assist with the development, planning, and implementation of faculty and student focus groups
  • other duties to be determined by the CAsCAid faculty group and student advisory board
  • estimated time commitment is 10-15 hours per month.

In your statement please explain why you are interested in becoming a member of the Student Advisory Board, what you think you could bring to the group, and what you would hope to gain from the experience.
 
Applications are due Friday, February 10 at 5pm. Once applications have been reviewed, some of the applicants will be contacted and invited to complete a brief (15-minute) interview with some of the members of the CAsCAid group.
