Alumni Society Scholarships

The Awards-Scholarship Committee of the Board of Governors administers a number of scholarships for which students are invited to apply:

  • School of Nursing Alumni Society Scholarship: Open to all current undergraduate and graduate students. Evaluation criteria include academic achievement, financial need, and participation in community service.

  • Class of 1956 Scholarship: Open to current students in their junior year who will progress to their senior year in the upcoming fall terms. Evaluation criteria include participation in social, academic, and professional activities that contribute to camaraderie and colleagiality among nursing students. 

  • Esther Smith McCleery Scholarship: Open to current students in their junior year who will progress to their senior year in the upcoming fall term. Evaluation criteria include academic achievement, financial need, and participation in community service that demonstrates leadership qualities.  

  • Rhoda Reddig Russell Scholarship: Open to current students in their junior year who will progress to their senior year in the upcoming fall term. Evaluation criteria include academic achievement, financial need, and future goals and interests in nursing. 

  • Shirley C. Titus Graduate Fund: Open to current graduate students who earned their BSN at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Evaluation criteria include academic achievement, financial need, and participation in community service that demonstrates leadership qualities.
