For the last fifteen years, Megan Eagle has been providing primary health care services to underserved populations. She has done clinical research on the health care needs of uninsured adults in Washtenaw County, and on the adaptability of Group Prenatal Care models to the family practice setting. She has served as a clinical preceptor to adult and family Nurse Practitioner students and has also supervised clinical placements for students from the Schools of Social Work, Pharmacy, and Medicine. Fluent in both English and Spanish, her language skills have played an integral role in effectively communicating with the range of individuals she serves and in her ability to precept with students (i.e. Medical Spanish elective through the School of Medicine).

Teaching

Megan is an Instructor for the clinical courses in the Family and Adult Nurse Practitioner Programs. She is also a guest lecturer for the undergraduate nursing program in the area of healthcare for the underserved and has lectured for other groups on the health needs of Latino populations. Megan enjoys teaching Nurse Practitioner students and other health professional students, as well as leading clinical case conferences for the Adult and Family Nurse Practitioner programs.
