Teaching
Ms. Stevens teaches undergraduate pediatric clinical sections on a pediatric medical/surgical unit. She strives to keep a balance between building a solid, knowledge-based foundation with asking questions that involve critical thinking and problem-solving. In addition, she emphasizes the importance of professional and culturally sensitive interactions with patients and families. Specifically, nurses and students should base their therapeutic relationships on the idea that good interactions arise from being able to respectfully ask tactful questions to gather information.
