Dr. Shever is currently the Director of Nursing Research, Quality, and Innovation at University of Michigan Health System. As a former critical care nurse, Dr. Shever has integrated a strong practice base with direct mentoring of bedside nurses, nurse leaders, and educators on processes involved with establishing evidence-based practices in an acute care setting. Dr. Shever has presented nationally on evidence-based nursing practices, practical implementation strategies at the bedside, large database effectiveness research, and other topics associated with quality improvement. Her research focus has primarily been in the area of nursing effectiveness research.
